This term our topic is Benin and i'm going to show you what I've learnt these past two weeks and a bit 

A Short History

The kings of Benin were called 'Ogiso' before the last Ogiso (Ogiso Owodo) died and his son ran off. A war ensued to decide who would be the new king. Eventually, a new man came to power called Eweka. He called himself Oba, the Yoruba word for king. city is in what is now called Nigeria.
